How do I activate FSGENESIS?

This week I received the 6 disc fsgenesis pack for my fs2004 system. I did the proper installation and then selected 4 short "hilly" flights to see the difference this mesh would make (choose San Fran area, St.Barth's to Saba, Nice, etc.), but honestly was disappointed to see nothing new. I have a $5,000 computer that is designed for graphics, so I know it can handle this. I already am using GE PRO, ULTIMATE TERRAIN, all the MEGASCENERIES, BIRD'S EYE VIEW - I am so happy with these. I was hoping FSGENESIS would add, but it hasn't. Any suggestions? Could it be in my scenery library? Currently I have UT as #1, then ADDON SCENERY is #2, then all my MEGASCENERIES after that. I wrote to the FSG support/help, but have not heard back. Would welcome your support. Thank you, Paul

Make sure you have your terrain resolution slider set to 10 meters.

Hey Paul,

Justin's answer is for FSX, it has a slider to make that adjustment easy.

However, you said FS2004, so you need to do the following.

1) - Find, and open, your "fs9.cfg" in notepad.

2) - Find the following line in your fs9.cfg.
TERRAIN_MAX_VERTEX_LEVEL=19

3) - Change the "19" to "21", it should then look like the following.
TERRAIN_MAX_VERTEX_LEVEL=21

4) - Close notepad...choose yes when it asks if you want to save the changes.

Edit: The following shows what the different settings do.
DEM resolution: 18 = 150m DEM, 19 = 75m DEM, 20 = 37m DEM, 21 = 19m DEM
