How to confirm FSGenesis is installed and being used
« on: January 24, 2008, 09:17:54 AM »
Justin,

I don't have much experience installing FSX scenery, so aside from looking at the visuals, what settings would I check to verify FS Genesis Mesh and Landclass is currently being used by FSX.

Thanks. John

HI John,

Make sure your Terrain Resolution slider is at 10m, and make sure you have "FSGdem*.bgl files in the subdirectories under FSX\Scenery folder.  The fsglcx_us.bgl (landclass) file should be in Addon Scenery\scenery.

Do you mean Mesh Resolution?

There's no slider labeled Terrain Resolution, only Mesh Resolution and Texture Resolution. And does Mesh Complexity have any effect on this?

Thanks in advance.
