will there be X-Plane support?

Hi,

Just a quick question if it will be possible for X-Plane to take advantage of the mesh in the future?

Hi,

It may be possible.   I will have to familiarize myself with any X-Plane SDKs to determine if it's possible and worthwhile considering the detail of the default X-Plane terrain mesh.  I'm not too familiar with X-Plane's scenery and terrain.  What is the resolution of X-Plane's default terrain?

Hello,

I've only just ordered a copy of X-Plane to check it out, since the ACES FSX team was laid-off I wanted to see what it offered since it will be (maybe) the only major sim receiving continuing upgrades/updates for now.

I'm less than an average simmer so I just threw the question out, but, like most people, I really like your work and wanted to see if it would advance given the new sim environment (or lack of it?).

thank you, Cliff

I tend to wait till PMDG really makes it true to develop some cross-platform applications. The basis design model of X-Plane looks quite promising to me. The last version I tried was X-Plane 7 and this was disappointing compared to FS9 (not even sure any more). Of course it had to do with the GUI but as well with eye-candy. However this sim knows about sloped runways but I don't have a clue whether there are tweaking tools like ADE available in order to add missed airfields and objects or even correct misplaced facilities. Flight planning seems not to be the big issue, though.
