Impossible to Download DL_AKDEM-X.exe

Jason,

Cannot download this file.  I've tried two browsers,  three download managers, cache is clear. I typically am able to get download speeds over 1MB/sec.

All goes well and then stops between 25 and 35 %.  Been trying several days now.  Chokes all the time.

Wasting your bandwidth and my time.

I dunno.  I just performed the impossible.  Downloaded the whole file in less than 5 minutes at over 1mb/sec.

If it's stalling at the same point every time, that indicates that your cache is not clear.  Or else you're having trouble with your internet connection, which is beyond my control.

Well, I'm delighted that you can download to yourself. 

However, if you were here with me you would see that after days of trying with IE8, Firefox and Opera along with a myriad of download managers it is indeed impossible for me to download this file.  Cache emptied or not.

I don't seem to have any problem with other files, and as stated before I can get 1 -1.3 speeds routinely on large files...strange.

Is there a specific Download manager that you are using with success?

HI Psybear,

No, just straight browser.  I don't use download managers as a general rule.

I don't know what to tell you.  If I, and other's, can download without problems, the server is obviously performing as it should, and that's the only thing I have any control over.  I have no control over the various routers and switches between your location and the server, over your ISPs settings, nor do I have any control over your local system.

Perhaps try disabling your download manager temporarily?  Maybe your firewall is causing some problems?  Try adding fsgenesis.com to your trusted sites.

Me neither but when I try with no download manager I get absolutely nothing...won't even start.  If I'm the only one, well, obviously it's on my side.  Since it's happening with 3 different browsers I will take the router that they share in common out of the equation and see what happens.

Bingo. It was the router firewall / IPS. 

Downloaded in just under 6 minutes, so not to worry.  Don't know exactly what the router took issue with but its back in-line now and I have the file.  When I get a chance I'll see if the router logs declared anything.
