All FS9 DVD's?
« on: June 19, 2010, 07:04:30 PM »
At one time Galaxy lifetime members were offered a discount on the full FS9 mesh collection on DVD's (I have it all on CD's). It wasn't offered for free due to the cost of the media (if I recall correctly). I don't find that deal at the storefront, anymore?

Justin, I'm assuming that these FS9 DVD's do not include anything after the Canada Interior Plains 38m (July 24, 2006) and I should keep any CD-ROMs or downloads for mesh created after that (North Atlantic 76m or Colorado 19m as examples). Is that correct?

Thanks Justin.

Do you have any plans of updating the FS2004 DVD's with the newer stuff, including the new 19M mesh for FS2004?

Not at this time, but that can always change.  The nice thing about download-only products on this end is that there are no fulfillment costs other than bandwidth.  And I have a pretty favorable deal with bandwidth at the moment.  I figure broadband is nearly ubiquitous nowadays, and you're certainly welcome to burn the downloads to disk on your end for archival purposes.

I'm all for keeping your costs down. I'll burn it to a disk when I have enough saved to make it worthwhile.

Thanks Justin.

One more question, Justin. As I am (unfortunately) in the middle of a fresh XP/FS9 install, is there anything on the old CD-ROM's that is not included on the DVD's (Black Hills, Yellowstone/Grand Tetons, Hawaiian Islands for instance)?

Thanks Justin. As I started to install the DVD's I see where everything is listed before you install so that makes it easy.

I have to apologize to you...I have found duplicate CDR's for North Atlantic, East and West Siberia and Northern Russia...all of the same version (1.0). I will gladly mail you the duplicates, at my expense. Not sure how that happened.
