All in One
« on: July 29, 2010, 11:22:10 AM »
I originally had all the FSG files installed in the default locations.  I then searched for all of the FSGdem*.bgl files, cut them from their location and pasted them into C:\FSG\scenery.  There are no subfolders under scenery.  I did this with all the latest files including the little ones that correct airport plateaus.  I then went to the scenery library and added C:\FSG to the library in the next to lowest position just above original Terrain and below original scenery.

Is this correct for all of these files including the airport plateau corrections or do the files have to be in the numbered subfolders for FSX to prioritize them correctly or some other filing system.  Did I miss anything here?  Do I have to delete any references in the library?  Are there uninstall programs that need modification?

Do I have to change anything in FSX.cfg since I did the original install in the default locations?

Does it matter that UTX and REX 2.0 are also used?

Thanks,
Luke

HI Luke,

Probably better to put all the base terrain mesh files in one folder, and all the ATAPs in a separate folder and layer the ATAPs above.

Shouldn't have to delete anything in Scenery Library if you started with the default installation before the move.

The uninstallers won't work anymore.

Nothing to change in FSX.cfg

REX and UTX work fine with FSG.

hope this helps

Thank you.  That works well.  I'm glad I moved the files so that I don't lose them the next time I may have to delete FSX.
