HI Jim,

If you follow the emailed notification links, it will take you to the unwrapped forum.  But I think you ahve to set up those notifications under your profile.  You can be notified of individual posts, or notified of any post in any forum you want to watch.

Yes.

LOL!

Well, version 2 for the FSX North America terrain, further US Landclass updates, some new missions, and a few airports, generally.

Hi Cole,

There should be a horizontal scrollbar at the bottom of any page that extends past the edge . . .

HI Walter,

I don't believe you can move the bridge by editing terrain.cfg.  One  would have to find the BGL containing the bridge, decompile it, edit the source data, and recompile.  Or, create an exclusion area and make a new bridge.  Neither of which is all that easy to do unless you have the proper tools and knowledge.

Simply uninstalling FSG should return FSX to it's default state.

Hi Mark,

The filename is fsglcx_us.bgl and it should be found in the addon scenery\scenery folder if you installed to the default path.

Hope this helps

HI Jim,

1) Though the source data would be 3m, the output would be eith 4.3m (LOD13) or 2.1m (LOD14), and the smallest areas would be about 1 km and .5 km (approx), respectively.

2) Yes, depending on the resolution of that other source data.

That would depend on the availability of 3-meter source data.  There are a few small pockets of it available, but still not sure it would be practically useful considering file size vs visual impact.  Might have some use as a demonstration product, but the only thing it might demonstrate is the impracticality of it.   ;)

No, but there is/will be a greater variety of landclasses as the versions proceed.

Not sure on the other things yet. The NLCD 2001 doesn't make those sorts of differentiations and they would have to be picked off one by one manually, unless I can find some sort of graveyard source data.

yeah, I was becoming increasingly dissatisifed with it myself, then when those cyber-vandals exploited it, it was the last straw.  Time for a change.

Sorry, Cole.  We're all starting from scratch here..LOL

HI,

You won't see a separate Scenery Library entry because the files by default are installed into a folder that already exists in the Scenery Library.

Hope this helps

Yes, the patch, containing only the changed files, is for those who have previously downloaded.  Wouldn't hurt anything to download it, but it's not necessary of you download all the other files.

Hope this helps

Hi Victor,

Not the current version.  But both Alaska and Hawaii are in the works.

Thanks
