Are you talking about the link in the email?  If so, right above that you should see a message to the effect that the download links in the emails aren't working, so go directly to the store and download from My Downloads.\

FSG terrain mesh only includes the terrain, the shape of the ground, and not lakes and such.  If you don't have Ultimate Terrain (http://www.flight1.com/products.asp?product=utxusa) installed you are seeing default lakes, rivers, and coastlines, which generally aren't very accurate or complete.

Hi Dave,

Further production of 19m ASTER is currently in a  holding pattern due to a new, more highly-refined dataset that should become available to me next month.

The problem with ASTER data is that the quality is uneven and usually needs a whole lot of manual, time-consuming editing before released commercially.  This new dataset will be of much higher quality and I'll be able to turn them around much quicker.  There will be world-wide coverage, so the new 19m countries should be coming fast and furiously going forward.

I believe there is a 76m Europe in the new Backroom.  You may or may not "need" it, but it has 19m resolution, which is as high as fS2004 will go.  Your call.

If you have the newer 19m FS2004 US states, you don't need GC and MV.  If you don't have those areas covered by the 19m states, you can leave them.

North America was split into three separate products quite a while ago.  I believe there were some fixes to Canada and Mexico has had the plateaus fixed.  I think there were a couple of terrain fixes in US V2, but it mostly consists of about 5000 plateau fixes, and organized into West Coast, Rockies, Plains, and East 4 DVDs
