Mesh for Mars?
« on: February 22, 2010, 11:13:44 PM »
There is a lot of elevation data available for Mars, and I think it would be really cool to be able to fly around that planet. I don't know of the difficulties associated with mapping a smaller diameter globe, but I imagine there are some. Have you thought of doing something like this?

HI

Mars is a suburb of Pittsburgh (look it up LOL), so it's already been done.

If you're referring to the planet, i guess it's possible.  Someone has done the moon a few years back.  But right now I have my hands full finishing some terrestrial projects, but I suppose it's not out of the question for the future.  As with the proposed mission there, there would be a few technical hurdles . . .
